How much do the courses cost?

The costs are based on the number of people attending. We need a minimum of 6 participants per course. Discounted prices are available for big groups.

Where are the courses held?

We present our courses nationwide. We travel to you. (Provided the area is safe and conductive to learning) Our experienced instructors will come to your school, office, work place, home, or you can come to our training facilities situated in Paarl.

Can I join in another group if I’m on my own?

Ofcourse you can! We have public courses on a regular basis throughout the year. Please send your enquiry to info@heartguardians.co.za

How long are the certificates valid for?

First Aid Level 1-3 courses are valid for 3 years and accredited by the Department of Labour.
All American Heart Association and Resuscitation Council of South-Africa courses are valid for 2 years. Accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Resuscitation Council of South Africa (RCSA).

Which course should I do?

The best is to contact us at info@heartguardians.co.za, and we’ll advise you which course will best suit your needs. Alternatively you can have a look at all our courses available.

How do I register for the courses?

Once we know which course you would like to do, we will send you a quotation to confirm what you need. If you’re joining a course we just need a deposit to secure your seat. If you are booking your own dates then we’ll need both the signed terms & conditions document and a 50% deposit to secure your training dates.

Why do I need first aid or why do i need to get my employees trained in first aid?

Many people have been faced with the situation where they come across a medical emergency or accident at home, at work or on the street and don’t know how to act. A simple CPR course or First aid course can give you the knowledge and skills to be confident and act appropriately to save a life and make a difference.

In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993), Regulations 3 of the General Safety Regulations every business (including Government) is required to have their personnel trained in First aid and CPR. The Department of Labour are continuously inspecting companies to see that they comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Companies that don’t comply can be fined.

In what languages courses are presented?

All our courses are presented in English.

Do you offer discovery vitality points for members doing CPR courses?

Yes we do. On successful completion of a CPR or First aid Course. Discovery members can receive 2500 points towards their membership. We submit the documentation for you.

I am a Healthcare Professional and need to obtain CPD/CEU points. Will I receive points for doing Healthcare Provider courses?

Absolutely! Please look at the list of courses. Each course have different CPD/CEU points available.
